We have
tested this controller with the new brake rheostat and besides
being
bullet proof it does have the most brakes on a controller that we have
ever tested!
By popular demand DR-Racing along with
Mick A from Slot Car City came up with the newest improvements on the
ever popular DR-40 controller. The heat sink that sits on the drivers
panel has been made smaller for ease of storage and carrying and with
weight added to restrict movement on the drivers panel. Also the hook up
wires are longer and both the hook up wires and the controller wires
come out in the same direction and away from the track. The flexible
controller cable makes it a very conformable feel for driving and with
no external heat sink hanging from the controller makes it very light
weight. Other unique features of
the DR-40 controller is that the heat sink that sits on the drivers
panel absorbs the power from the track and especially those higher
powered motors all takes place down inside the large heat sink away from
the driver. Also very unique with this controller is that you can drive
anything from a home set car which requires a very high OHM controller
(15+ OHM) up to a Gr.7 Open car and any car in between!
